New Board of Directors for Reykjavík Gay Pride

A new five member board of directors was elected at the annual meeting of Reykjavik Gay Pride on the 24th of February. Torvaldur Kristinsson is president, Þórarinn Þór is cashier, Kristín Saevarsdottir secretary, Katrin Jonsdottir is out-reach director and Heimir Már Petursson is executive director. The annual meeting also voted in new by-laws for Reykjavik Gay Pride.
The main change in the by-laws are that Reykjavik Gay Pride is now an organization of indivitual members of people and lesbian, gay, bisxual and transgender organizations, who each carry one vote at annual meetings. Before a so called pride-committee was the executive board of the organization, where five different organizations and action groups appointed representatives on the board. There for the independance of Reykjavik Gay Pride is strenghened with the ne by-laws.
