Reykjavik city council approves cooperation agreement

The Reykjavik city council approved Friday January the 13th, a three year agreement between the city and Reykjavik Gay Pride. The city will pay the Pride 1,6 million Icelandic kronas (23.000 USD) a year until the year 2006.
The agreement strengthens the Pride as a non-profit organization considerably and makes it possible to expand the Pride further as an international event. The budget for last years Pride was 58.000 USD.
