A record number of foreign artists have applied to perform at Reykjavik Gay Pride this year. The pride committe is no longer accepting applications from abroad and will soon decide on the applications already in.
Reykjavik Gay Pride has grown fast since it began as an small one day event in 1999. This year's event will be the 10th and we dare to promise the best pride ever. Our resources to bring in foreign artists are limeted, so due to the number of great applications it will be particulary difficult to choose this year. For those who we will not be able to have over this year; there is always going to be next year.
Applications came from all around the world. Most of the applications came from USA, but we also got applications from UK, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Canada and many other countries. The pride committee will soon inform all applicants about who were selected this year.
