This year the Reykjavik Gay Pride Club is at Q-Bar and that's where the weekend will start Thursday at 12 noon with Stonewall revisited. Paul Oscar will sing few songs from Judy Garland's songbook. VIP card holders get special discount on food and drinks, so don't just sleep over in the Lagoon.
Like most people know the modern struggle for human rights for lesbians and gay men started little less than 40 years ago with the Stonewall uprising in New York on the 27th of June 1969; the day Judy Garland was taken to her grave.
Reykjavik Gay Pride thinks it will be a good start to revisit Stonewall on the first day of our event this year, at the official Pride Club at Q-Bar. At 12 noon on Thursday the famous Paul Oscar will honour Judy Garland by singing some of her songs and the party beginns.
VIP pass holders get 10% discount off all food and drinks at the club over the pride weekend.
Thursday night we remind people of the great concert at Club Dómo with the Icelandic Didda and her band Mina rakastan sinua Elvis and the New Yorker Sarah Greenwood and her band GSX. The door opens at 20:00 (8 p.m.) and the concert starts at 20:30.
After the concert at Dómó the Icelandic hip-hop band Rotweilers Dogs will warm up for Q-boy at Q-bar. Q-boy will perform some of his international hits and DJ until closing time.
